GLScene status

I’ve updated the GLScene.org main page with information on where you can find support newsgroups and forums, since the nntp newsgroup went down and are unlikely to come back up (thanks Paul Van Dinther, now from PlanetInAction, for the help in accessing the wiki).

The old site has been resurrected there too, as the wiki engine lost most of the images added during the last years… I’ll be looking into setting up something to replace both with a more functional content manager.

The reason behind this dust being shaken is that I’ll likely be initiating a GLScene for Android project (for Java / Dalvik).

  1. Greet! My name is Rustam!
Since you was a long time and you did not answer the questions, the Russian community had decided independently update the engine.
And as an international site with its knowledge base and the official logo.

    The site is here GLScene.info

If you develop for Android GLScene please develop it separately from the main project.

I’m aware that there are various people maintaining GLScene, but I’ve not kept up with the news (and I can’t read Russian).

I would encourage you (and others) to let me know about these, I won’t merge all the projects, though I plan to reuse portions of the code (some algorithms, maths, utilities, etc.).

Hopefully GLScene.org could federate all those projects and maintainers, if only by providing links and quick summary to the relevant sites (like yours).

  3. I myself do not know much English, on this using Google.
Yes, it would be good options will be incorporated by creating projects.
The current site is only in the design, and temporarily replaced by the knowledge base is connected GLScene.
Bug tracker and repository still remain in place.

  4. My question is how you assign version GLScene?
At the moment GLScene become more Cross-platform and it would be nice to give her version, or teach YarUnderoaker do it!
Unfortunately I myself can not make this because I did not go to a part of the developers, though, and spoke with Paul Van Dinther but no reply received.
